Music
We love music at 2CCW! Our musical styles range from the traditional to the contemporary, and everything in between.
Our worship services begin with a Musical Call to Worship, with the choir singing spirit-filled songs of praise and invitation. A typical worship service usually includes three congregational hymns (from both The Pilgrim Hymnal of 1958 and The New Century Hymnal of 1995), accompanied by piano and at least two choral anthems. Guest instrumentalists frequently join us, and are always welcome.
Under the superb leadership of Music Director Todd Gordon, our choir is an integral part of the worship leadership of the church. To hear the choir sing and to be one of the singers are both intensely spiritual experiences, and all who wish to join the choir are welcome!
Holidays give our music program a chance to really shine, with worship services that are full to the brim with music to complement and enhance the words and silence of worship. We also periodically have special music Sundays, with a wide variety of offerings.
For more information about recent musical endeavors at 2CCW, please see our Choir and Music page.
