The Second Congregational Church of Winchester

adopted May 27, 2018

We are the Second Congregational Church of Winchester: the Little Church with the Big Heart. We welcome all in the spirit of hope and in the name of our host, Jesus Christ. We seek to support and uplift our community by creating a place of unconditional love regardless of who you are, where you come from, who you love, or how you love.

We are an inclusive and diverse community of faith, and we invite, welcome, and celebrate all people, including those of all races; ethnicities; ages; gender identities and expressions; sexual orientations; marital statuses; faith backgrounds; physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities; economic circumstances; and family configurations. All persons are invited to fully share and participate in the ministry, fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities, leadership, and joys of our church family.

We believe that life is a gift and love is the point, and we encourage anyone and everyone to join us as we seek new ways to fulfill the promise of God’s love and share it with the world.

An Opportunity for YOU to Join Us in Making a Difference:

ALS ONE is an unprecedented partnership of the world’s leaders in ALS (Amotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease) from Massachusetts General Hospital, UMass Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, ALS Therapy Development Institute, and CCALS.  Together, they have joined forces on a shared Science Plan.  An approach to a disease to this extent has never been taken.  They have committed to finding a treatment or cure for ALS by the year 2020, while improving the care model for those living with ALS now. 2CCW’s Deb Miller will be lacing up her shoes in August, and if you’d like to support her, you can visit her personal fundraising page here.
